Spreading the cost

Dental payment plans, explained

A “dental payment plan” can mean several different things — and getting them mixed up is how people end up paying more than they should. This guide separates clinic instalments from UK consumer finance, so you can choose the cheapest sensible way to spread the cost of treatment in Turkey.

Two very different kinds of payment plan

When people search for a dental payment plan, they usually mean one of two things:

For treatment in Turkey, most UK patients use a combination: a clinic instalment to confirm and stage the work, sometimes topped up with a 0% card or a loan for the balance.

Clinic instalment plans

This is the simplest route. A clinic such as Taki Dent takes a deposit to confirm your booking, then the balance across your treatment trip — for example after surgery and again when the final restorations are fitted. There is normally no interest, no credit check and no UK paperwork. The trade-off is that the timescale is short (the length of your treatment), so it suits patients who can cover the figure within a few weeks rather than over years.

UK consumer finance plans

If you need longer to repay, you borrow at home and pay the clinic in full. The main options:

0% purchase credit card

Interest-free for a promotional window (often 12–24 months). Ideal if you can clear the balance before the 0% period ends, after which a standard APR applies. Read our 0% finance options guide for the detail.

Personal loan

A fixed sum from your bank with fixed monthly repayments and a fixed APR — often the cheapest regulated way to borrow a larger amount, with no link to a particular clinic.

Medical / cosmetic finance

FCA-regulated lenders offer dedicated treatment loans, sometimes with longer terms for larger plans. Always check the representative APR and the total repayable, as longer terms can cost more overall even when the monthly figure looks attractive.

The honest bottom line

Because Turkey prices are 60–70% lower than UK private fees, many patients find they can save the (smaller) amount and skip finance altogether. If you do borrow, the cheapest route is usually a 0% card cleared in time, or a low-APR personal loan — not the first plan offered. Turkey Teeth Finance is not a lender, broker or FCA-regulated firm; this is general information, not advice. Compare options and consider free help from MoneyHelper before you sign anything.
